Paintings and portraits
by Abbie Williams have found their way into homes across the United
States and other countries including, Canada, England, Spain and
Venezuela.
“I’ve always felt being an artist is not something
one does, but rather, is a state of being. It’s not something
that gets turned on and off, it’s who a person is in their
soul. For me it not only shows up as some art form, but how I
live my life. My creativity takes on many forms; it’s all
around me and one type of expression feeds another. There is no
vacation from it. Sometimes it’s a curse and sometimes it’s
an incredible gift. Whatever it is, I’d have it no other
way. I love being creative. That’s who I am!”

“My theme is color and light, and anything can be a foil
for that. I can’t say I have a technique but rather a process,
that is, I follow my creative heart into different painting adventures.
I paint in series. An idea emerges and it begs me to try in on
in a number of variations. I’ve always said,‘repetition
could be the death of me’ hence the variety of what I paint.”
