“I’ve always felt being an artist is not something one does, but rather, is a state of being. It’s not something that gets turned on and off, it’s who a person is in their soul. For me it not only shows up as some art form, but how I live my life. My creativity takes on many forms; it’s all around me and one type of expression feeds another. There is no vacation from it. Sometimes it’s a curse and sometimes it’s an incredible gift. Whatever it is, I’d have it no other way. I love being creative. That’s who I am!”

“My theme is color and light, and anything can be a foil for that. I can’t say I have a technique but rather a process, that is, I follow my creative heart into different painting adventures. I paint in series. An idea emerges and it begs me to try in on in a number of variations. I’ve always said,‘repetition could be the death of me’ hence the variety of what I paint.”
