Kigel has studied brush
painting in Japan , China , and the United States . She is an
award-winning member of the Sumi-e Society of America, the Union
of Maine Visual Artists, the Maine Art Gallery in Wiscasset, and
the Saltwater Artists at Pemaquid Point. Since 1995 Kigel’s
work has been registered on the Maine Arts Commission’s
Juried Registry, and is exhibited in galleries in Maine , Vermont
, Maryland , Colorado , Wisconsin , and Washington , D.C. Kigel
conducts workshops at the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland , the
Maine College of Art in Portland , and The University of Southern
Maine in Portland .
